Beaumont Breaks World Record.

Record-breaking cyclist Mark Beaumont has become the fastest rider to cycle the length of Africa.

Drum Property Group proudly sponsored the adventurer in his quest to complete the 6750-mile trip from Cairo to Cape Town in 41 days, 10 hours and 22 minutes, smashing the previous world record of 59 days and eight hours, and the Group is delighted for Mark and congratulates him on his latest amazing achievement.

Mark said: "I am absolutely thrilled to have completed the challenge in a time which was beyond even my own expectations. It's been an incredible journey, and I'll never forget all that I've seen and experienced along the way.

The trip has raised £30,000 for Orkidstudio, the Glasgow humanitarian design group supported by Drum, which designs and delivers construction projects to benefit communities across the world.

Mark achieved an amazing average of 150 miles a day through countries including Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Botswana before reaching South Africa.roperty Group congratulates Mark on successfully completing the expedition and smashing the previous world record!
